The Fiber Artist

Wow, that sounds pretentious doesn't it. But it is the name of my company, so I decided to use it. This is where I will keep a record of works in progress in the hope that it will result in more productivity. It will also give me a place to ramble on about my life, so that maybe later I will remember what happened in ___ (fill in day, month, year of your choice).

Now about the fiber artist thing, let's see if I can justify it. Some recent (as in the last year) finished projects:

The Eagle Vest for #3 son:

If you look close and kind of squint, the varigations of the yarn pooled into a eagle in flight.

Ok this was dumb luck but it is sorta neat.

next:The Duck sweater for the #3 Grandson:

This was a fun, quick knit and looked adorable on the one year old grandson.

Next:Oldest grandchild's birthday poncho, given to her in Nov. 2004

desgined, knitted and beaded and she loves it and wears it often.

So far we are way up in the running for the "my grandma made it, so you can't buy one like it" playground fashion competition. This year the granddaughter learned to knit, picked out the yarn for her birthday sweater and designed the sweater, (I still get to knit it though). On Sunday we have a date for her to learn to "twist yarn" {spin}.
